2013 was a pretty full-on year for us. We shot almost 40 weddings, a ton of bands, more family portraits than ever before, christenings, rock the frock shoots, newborns, commercial stuff and more. And we still managed to take off three weeks in the middle of summer to spend some time in Montreal.
We launched a new website and rebranded. We held workshops of our own and hosted workshops for some amazing photographers from overseas. We made lots of new friends and made some pretty big plans for the future…. 2013 was fun.
I’m always looking to push my photography to new places and am constantly trying to improve what I do with a camera. With so many talented photographers out there, many of whom I’m proud to call friends, I’m always inspired and encouraged to try to find my own way and trust my instincts when it comes to making photographs. When it came to choosing my favourite photos of 2013 I initially chose almost 300 images. I then passed them over to Evelyne and gave her free reign to take out any she felt were surplus to requirements. She’s pretty ruthless but hopefully this final selection sums up our year nicely.
Thanks to all our lovely clients who trust us to do what we do. Thanks to the photographers I’ve had the pleasure to work with in the past 12 months. Thanks to everyone who takes time out of their day to follow my work. And thanks to Evelyne and our three gorgeous boys for everything.
2013 was also the year I said a last goodbye to my Dad. He was a man who put his family before everything else and always encouraged me to follow my own path. I simply wouldn’t be where I am now without him. I’ll miss him every day.

I had to be extremely picky and struggled a lot to get rid of any, so you know what that means coming from me 😉 I know your dad would of been the proudest of all!
