Band Photoshoot Competition – Vote For The Finalists

Earlier this year I announced a competition for one unsigned band to win a photoshoot and get themselves a variety of great band portraits to help them to stand out from the crowd. We had loads of entries from all kinds of bands and solo artists all over the Midlands. The answer to the question, What was Steve’s favourite album of 2008, was “Asking For Flowers” by Kathleen Edwards.

I’ve now decided to upgrade the prize to include live shots of the winning band next time they play in the area.

I thought it’d be fun to let music fans and readers of this blog vote for the winning band from a randomly drawn selection of six bands/artists who entered the competition. So check out the bands’ MySpace pages, listen to their tracks and leave a comment after this blog post with the name of the band you think deserve the prize most. ONLY ONE VOTE PER PERSON PLEASE 😉

  209. there are a number of rea’S’ons why I ‘T’hink this b’A’nd should get th’R’ough ‘T’o ‘T’he final six; t’H’ey have work’E’d so ‘H’ard t’O’ get where they are now, they can handle criticism and take it on board for improvements, they don’t j’U’st sing/pe’R’form – they have taken their ‘G’reat amount of passion for their music to the extreme, ‘L’istened to what people h’A’ve ‘S’aid. to hear, they are fanta’S’tic, down to earth, people and appreciate every vote/comment they get. ….START THE HOURGLASS…. are LEGENDS and think that they should deserve to win this competition and get the professional photos they deserve!

  378. I would like to see “Start the Hour Glass” win. I’m not a metal fan but I gave my support to a couple of the band member’s. I thought it was very professionally performed, varied in mood and pace with elements for most to enjoy. They Rock.

    Big up to StrangeTime who came 2nd and got over 120 votes more than the next band.

    Thanks to everyone who voted. We got SO many more votes than we were expecting which is fantastic!

    We’ll set up the shoot asap and, of course, we’ll post some of the images from the shoot right here on the blog…

    Congrats again to Start The Hourglass. Can’t wait to do the shoot.
