This wedding at Curradine Barns was special for a few reasons. When you shoot a wedding where both the bride & groom are wedding photographers themselves there’s just that little added bit of pressure. They’ve seen so many great wedding photos before but I still want them to be wowed, surprised, happy and emotional when they view their own wedding photos for the first time.
Having said that, they are also used to being at weddings as photographers so they are sympathetic to our needs and often have amazing weddings for us to photograph. Kirsty & Adam certainly had an AMAZING wedding!
I’ve known Kirsty for a while now as we both also shoot concerts. I remember Noel Gallagher openly flirting with her at the V Festival! And when I met Adam I knew we were gonna get along great. His stag do at Coachella is already the stuff of legend!
The wedding was held at the stunning Curradine Barns in Worcestershire, England, a venue I’ve shot at before. It’s a gorgeous converted barn with a very cool, laid-back vibe. Perfect for Kirsty & Adam.
The whole day was about celebrating with their favourite people and Curradine Barns is definitely the kind of wedding venue people can let their hair down and party the night away. We dodged the occasional shower but also had a double rainbow! The speeches were hilarious and everyone was stunned when the couple’s friend performed a breathtaking plane show over the venue. Adam is a pilot himself.
I met a couple at this wedding called Gemma & Antonio. They told me there and then that I’d be shooting their wedding too. And guess what, they flew me to Las Vegas to do just that! 🙂
