There are many destination weddings that make my job as a photographer pretty amazing and Becca & Patrick’s wedding at Martoca Beach Garden in Bucerías, Mexico will always stand out in my memory as a fantastic few days with great people in an idyllic location.
A few years ago I shot one of the coolest weddings ever at Walcot Hall. Becca is friends with Catherine, the bride from that wedding, and got in touch with me as soon as she started planning her wedding in Mexico saying “I heard about you as you photographed a friend of a friend of mine-Cath and her husband Darren and I saw the photos on Facebook and thought they were incredible so made a note of your website.”
This was actually my first ever wedding in Mexico (although I recently shot another wedding at the stunning Royalton Riviera resort close to Cancun) and it set the bar high. I loved that we were able to stop off with the girls to get some photos using the vibrant colours of the Mexican streets before heading on to Martoca Beach Garden for the beach ceremony and a fantastic party.
Huge thanks to Becca & Patrick for inviting me down to Mexico for a great few days. I had a blast!

The day after the Martoca Beach Garden Wedding all the guests were invited for a cruise and a swim. A great chance to enjoy Mexico and let their hair down. For me it was fun to hang out with everyone and, of course, take photos for the couple.

I’m a Brit living in Montreal with my wife, Evelyne and our three boys! Evelyne and I met in the Alps in 2003 when Evelyne thought she was a cool snowboarder and I thought I was a superstar DJ. We got married in 2007 in Cornwall, England and moved to Canada in 2014.
I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and have now shot almost 500 weddings, mostly in Canada & the UK, but I absolutely love travelling anywhere in the world. I enjoyed it when I started but love my job now more than ever.
