It’s always a huge complement when another wedding photographer chooses us to photograph their own wedding. I know if Evelyne and I were getting married now we’d really struggle to choose a photographer as there is so much talent out there.
Charlotte & Neil run a successful wedding photography company up in their home town of Scarborough in Yorkshire, as well as being involved in the running of the venue which would also be their reception venue on the big day, The Ambassador Spa Hotel. I knew their wedding would be great. I also knew the pressure was on to exceed expectations from another photographer! I think we did ok 🙂
The ceremony itself took place at the spectacular Sledmere House in Driffield. We were told by the registrars that we couldn’t take more than a couple of photos during the ceremony. It happens all too often and is so frustrating but I just about got away with a few sneaky shots without getting the stern glance which I may have had once or twice before!
After that, everyone hung around for a while before heading over to Scarborough for food, drink, dancing and a damn good party.
Thanks a lot to Charlotte & Neil for trusting us to document such a great day for them and for making us feel like guests. Thanks also to Kate Tolsen for travelling north for a few days and 2nd shooting with me.
