BEST PHOTOS OF 2016 BY STEVE GERRARD

So here it is! A little later than expected but I wanted to wait until the new site was ready before posting my favourite photos of 2016.

My first cut left me with just over 500 images for this post (!) but I managed to slowly but surely chip away and ended up with 200 (still a lot, I know). It’s hard to sum up a year that involved weddings, bands, portraits and everything in between but I hope you’ll enjoy seeing what I got up to in the twelve months that they called 2016.

I travelled to the UK multiple times again, as well as the US and here in Canada. I shot some truly amazing weddings and also photographed some of my favourite bands in venues big and small. I shot more family sessions than ever and look forward to many more in 2017. I had another magazine cover and got to hang out with so many great people. Thanks a lot to everyone who trusted me to photograph their weddings, the magazines, websites, bands and companies who booked me and to the people who helped me take my business forward a few more steps. Thanks also to the people who asked me to speak at workshops, on podcasts and to write for magazines. Cheers to all those photographers who attended my workshops.
