Château St-Antoine Wedding

Thanks for the hard work and beautiful photos!

Sarah & Matt’s wedding at Château St-Antoine in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, north-east of Montreal was one of those weddings where everything just seemed to go right.

The venue itself is a quirky building close to the Richelieu River and makes for a pretty cool backdrop for photos. Then we had great weather and some fantastic light for photos.

The wedding ceremony was held outdoors and it was a pretty emotional one, as was Sarah & Matt’s first look, as you’ll see below.

There were doves, an epic first dance and some fantastic speeches. But what made this such a pleasure to shoot was the couple themselves. Sarah & Matt could not have made us feel more welcome and they went along with all my ideas for photos throughout the day. Their guests were also lovely and included a couple of serious photographers, not least Matt’s Dad who I think took almost as many photos as I did! 🙂

My second shooter at this wedding was my good friend Yannick. It was our first time shooting together and it was fun having him along.

Château Saint-Antoine has been an established wedding reception venue for over thirty years now so they know how to host weddings. They actually had two weddings at the venue on the day but at no point did the two events affect each other at all. Quite an achievement! If you’re planning a Château St-Antoine wedding I’d love to hear from you so please drop me an email via the Contact page.

Below is a short slideshow of some of my favourite recent wedding photos… Take a look. And turn the sound up!

I’m a Brit living in Montreal with my wife, Evelyne and our three boys! Evelyne and I met in the Alps in 2003 when Evelyne thought she was a cool snowboarder and I thought I was a superstar DJ. We got married in 2007 in Cornwall, England and moved to Canada in 2014.

I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and have now shot almost 500 weddings, mostly in Canada & the UK, but I absolutely love travelling anywhere in the world. I enjoyed it when I started but love my job now more than ever.
