Brilliant! Thank you Steve! Really brought the (albeit recent) memories flooding back. We’re so lucky to have been able to work with you. So awesome.

Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature wedding photos

I’d been looking forward to this wedding at Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature in Quebec for a long time. And when I say a long time, I mean years! In fact, in between Maria + Yacine booking me to photograph their wedding and the actual wedding day itself, the couple had time to start a family! You’ll see their new little human in the photos below.

Another reason I was looking forward to this one is that I got to photograph at this amazing venue in Quebec for the first time. I absolutely love venues like Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature, surrounded by nature and with that cool, rustic vibe.

And then there was the couple themselves. From the moment we first met to chat about me photographing the wedding, I felt super-comfortable with them and knew it was gonna be a fun time. And I wasn’t wrong! They even promised me a whiskey at the end of the wedding day, and you’ll see they didn’t forget 🙂

As you’ll see from the wedding photos below, the wedding was a beautiful day, surrounded by their closest friends and family in this idyllic location close to Saint-Paulin in Quebec.

Their wedding planner was the lovely Clemence Desjardins from Hera Mariages. Flowers were supplied by the super-talented Artelier Carmel. I’ve done a lot of weddings where they were the florist, and they’re always the ones I recommend to my couples. Hair & makeup was done by Marianne & Emmanuelle. They had a great DJ/MC in Yvan Caro, who is apparently moving to a new career shortly. A shame cos he did a fantastic job.

The wedding ceremony was held in the marquee overlooking the scenic countryside and the windmill (apparently built for a movie, it looks completely authentic!). The weather was glorious, but later in the day, we had a huge downpour of rain. Luckily it came at a time that didn’t affect the wedding at all. If anything, it added a nice bit of drama to the event!

Enjoy the photos. And if you’re planning a Le Baluchon Éco-villégiature wedding and looking for a wedding photographer, please get in touch.

I’m a Brit living in Montreal with my wife, Evelyne and our three boys, Elliott, Isaac and Jonas! Evelyne and I met in the Alps in 2003 when Evelyne thought she was a cool snowboarder, and I thought I was a superstar DJ. We got married in 2007 in Cornwall, England and moved to Canada in 2014. I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and have now shot almost 500 weddings, mostly in Canada & the UK, but I absolutely love travelling anywhere in the world. I enjoyed it when I started but love my job now more than ever.
