So, Jenn + Schuyler! I don’t even need to tell you what a blast we had with these guys and their squad, you just need to scroll down & you’ll see what an epic day we had with them. Jenn + Schuyler’s wedding at Golf Saint-Raphaël in Ile Bizard was definitely a fun day, thanks not only to this great couple but also to their friends and family who made sure it was a day to remember. I shot this one with my good pal Chris Paine and we had plenty of time to explore the grounds and escape with the couple for some very cool couple portraits. I’m not a fan of wedding photos with a golf course as a backdrop so was pleasantly surprised to find that Golf Saint-Raphaël has plenty of areas that feel like you’ve escaped into the countryside.
When I met the boys before the ceremony I instantly recognized one of the group. We eventually worked out that we’d met before when I took photos of his band The Holds. Great band too!
The ceremony was held inside the main building before guests were welcomed into the grounds for cocktails and food. The couple’s friend sang a song just for them and did so brilliantly. The speeches were fantastic and the party was jumpin’ til the very end. I always say that there’s a reason I stay til the end of the night at weddings. I love the party atmosphere when guests can let their hair down and get a little crazy (sometimes very crazy!). Why would I wanna leave when the fun really starts!
Golf Saint-Raphaël is a fantastic place for weddings. Located in the heart of Ile Bizard, just minutes from the city, golf Saint-Raphaël can accommodate a large number of guests (up to 300 people) but also make sure the wedding feels intimate and stylish. The Golf Saint-Raphaël terrace is 4000 square foot, sheltered by a tent with a view of the golf course as well as several waterfalls and gardens.
