It’s been a while since I blogged any concert photos so what better way to make up for that than with a set of images from this week’s Slayer gig at Place Bell in Laval near Montreal!?
This was part of Slayer’s final world tour. I first saw them as a teenager on the Reign In Blood tour and have photographed them a few times before.
For this show, they brought an exceptional line-up of bands with them including Lamb Of God and Anthrax, as well as the mighty Behemoth and old-school thrashers Testament.
It was my second time shooting at PLace Bell which is still a very new venue. I shot A Perfect Circle at the venue but for that gig had to shoot from way back by the sound desk. For Slayer we were up close and personal. It makes for far more interesting images. I hope you’ll agree.
